Many Ways to Join Us In Celebrating the Season

Are you looking for a meaningful way to reach out to others  this season?  Thanks to our amazing community partners, we have a variety of ways to make giving easy and would love to talk with you about any of them.  Check out these options and let us know if you have any additional ideas.

As always, Catholic Family Services is accepting your generous donations and will put them to good use to help the most vulnerable members of our community.

We have been selected as a partner in the Lori Moore Potluck Pals “A Holiday Dish To Pass” Cookbook.

  • This cookbook costs only $5 and includes recipes from local contributers.  Over the past 10 years, it has raised more than half a million dollars for social services agencies $5 at a time!  This year, CFS is pleased to take part and 100% of all proceeds from the cookbooks CFS sells will go directly to CFS and the vulnerable clients we serve.  The theme this year?  $10 Challenge — feeding your family for under $10.  On December 12th from 3:00 to 5:00 PM we will be selling these cookbooks at the Harding’s in Woodbridge Hills.  We are also accepting preorders between now and then.  Just call 381-9800 and ask to speak with Laurie Schulte.

Our local Art Van Store has also chosen to partner with us this holiday season through their Charity Bear Program.

  • The teddy bear is an iconic symbol of love and comfort, and thanks to you, it will also be a gift that keeps on giving.  This holiday season, Art Van will be selling a special Charity Bear  for $39.99 of which 100% of the proceeds will go to  one of the 150 Art Van’s Million Dollar Charity Challenge recipients.   That means you can buy an Art Van Charity Bear and they will donate 100% of the proceeds to Catholic Family Services.  Call 381-9800 with questions.

Catholic Family Services is coordinating Thanksgiving and Christmas donations for clients across the agency.

  • If you are interested, we will match you up with a client or family, provide you with specific information about their needs and wants, and you will be able to shop for them.  If you’d prefer, we will accept donations of gift cards and do the shopping for you.  Christmas donations are dropped off on morning of December 15th and delivered to the clients that afternoon.  If you’d like to be involved, call Jeannine Boehm at 381-1234.

We are so thankful for our donors and volunteers and generous community partners.  If you have ideas or other ways you’d like to share your time, talents, or generosity with Catholic Family Services, we’d love to discuss them with you.  Please call us at 381-1234.
